To provide an electrode ring for mash-seam welding capable of reducing work for cutting and removing an unwelded portion.
The outer diameter H of the inside marginal part in an upper electrode ring 1 positioned inside a flange B is formed larger than that diameter (h) of the outside marginal part in the ring 1 positioned outside the flange B, and a guide 7 which decides the grinding baseline position of an electrode surface in the upper electrode ring 1 by contact of a roller follower with a prescribed width is formed on the electrode surface of the inside marginal part in a circumferential direction. A slanted part 8 with a prescribed width is formed on the electrode surface of the outside marginal part in the circumferential direction and spreads from the inside of the flange B toward the outside thereof with a slight relief angle. Further, a slanted electrode step face 9 with a prescribed width is formed circumferentially between the guide 7 and the slanted part 8, and a recess curved face portion 9b having a curvature substantially equal to that of an edge-folded curved face of the flange B is formed circumferentially on the electrode step face 9.
