Abstract:
PURPOSE:To miniaturize the coating device for the automobile by transferring the automobile body in a paint tank in a vertical position, lowering the body on the inlet side of a paint tank and raising the body on the outlet side. CONSTITUTION:The automobile body 14 introduced in a horizontal position is turned to an angle of about 90 deg. by a turning and transferring device 15. The paint tank 34 is arranged on the outlet side of the device 15. A self- traveling carrier 26 provided with a hanger 28 for holding the body 14 capable of being lifted up and down and moved is furnished above the tank 34. A conveyor 38 capable of transferring the lowered hanger 28 is set on the tank 34. A power is supplied to the body 14 by a feeder mechanism through the hanger 28. The body 14 is transferred in the tank 34 in a vertical position, lowered on the inlet side of the tank 34 and raised on the outlet side. Consequently, the coating quality is improved.
