Abstract:
To provide an electrolyte leakage detection device capable of preferably detecting leakage of an electrolyte from a vehicle battery.SOLUTION: An electrolyte leakage detection device comprises: a battery module 6 (battery 6) mounted on an electric vehicle (vehicle 1); a battery case 12 housing the battery 6; a tray 12b structuring a lower part of the battery case 12; a concave part 14 which is provided at a position opposite to a lower surface of the battery 6 of the tray 12b and is recessed in a lower direction while opening so as to include a lower region of the battery 6; a pH sensor 15 provided with a bottom surface of the concave part 14; a water maintaining part 19 which can maintain water so as to be contacted to the pH sensor 15; and a first passage 16a supplying the water to the water maintaining part 19. The leakage of an electrolyte from the battery 6 is detected by detecting the change of a pH value based on a reaction between the electrolyte contained in the battery 6 and the water (condensate water Wd) held by the water maintaining part 19 by the pH sensor 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
