To provide an aluminum electrolytic capacitor wherein evaporation, scattering and leakage of solution are prevented, electric resistance is small and capacity is large, by using electrolytic solution of low viscosity.
Gelling hydrophilic polymer, or polymer containing repeated structural unit having amide structure, especially hydrophilic polymer which is obtained by polymerization of compound having N-vinyl amide structure is used as solid polyelectrolyte. Consequently, solid polyelectrolyte is obtained wherein affinity and compatibility to electrolytic salt and electrolytic solution are high, high ion conductivity and high molecular weight are realized, and stability is superior. The solid polyelectrolyte and electrolytic solution of low viscosity are used, and gelation is performed in a canned member, so that the aluminum electrolytic capacitor wherein evaporation and leakage of solution are prevented and electric resistance is small can be manufactured easily.
