Title:
ELECTROLYTICAL REDUCTION OF DISULFIDE COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3231556
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To electrolytically reducing a disulfide compound stably for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: In a cathode chamber of an electrolytic cell separated into an anode chamber and the cathode chamber by a diaphragm, a cathode having an electrode active surface composed of ≥2 kinds of alloys selected from among titanium, tantalum, niobium or zirconium or titanium, tantalum, niobium, zirconium, silver, tin, aluminum, iron, molybdenum, gold, antimony, bismuth, palladium or zinc is used. On the other hand, as the anode, and insoluble anode cathode by an electrode active material containing iridium oxide on a corrosion resistant metal composed of titanium, tantalum, niobium, zirconium or their alloy is used. Thus, the operation high in current efficiency and stable for a long time is attained.
