To provide an electromagnetic acoustic transducer and an electromagnetic acoustic flaw detector which suppress mutual interference of static magnetic fields generated by adjacent magnetic field generators of the electromagnetic acoustic transducer so as to prevent the deterioration in inspection accuracy due to the mutual interference of the static magnetic fields.
An electromagnetic acoustic transducer includes: a coil 1 generating an eddy current in a test object 4; a plurality of electromagnets 2 applying a static magnetic field to the test object 4; and an electromagnet excitation part 3, which is connected to the plurality of electromagnets 2, for selecting and switching to one of the plurality of electromagnets 2, which is to be excited. An electromagnetic acoustic flaw detector including the electromagnetic acoustic transducer is also provided.
