Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic brake device which has sufficient brake force and a simple construction by forming projections of ferromagnetic material at an interval along the moving direction of a driven unit, and disposing an electromagnet opposed to the projections. CONSTITUTION:Projections 3 of ferromagnetic material are formed at a suitable interval along the moving direction of a driven unit 2 such as a disc or a slide plate. An electromagnetic unit 7 disposed to form a magnetic circuit with the projections 3, a current is flowed to a coil 6 when a brake force is necessary to energize the electromagnet 7. Thus, sufficient brake force can be applied to the unit 3, and the construction of the entire electromagnetic brake device 8 can be simply formed.
