To increase a press working speed as the sum of a descending speed of an upper die and an ascending speed of a lower die by moving a lower movable plate wherein the lower die is set with respect to a base plate, moving the lower die part and utilizing a so called principle of action and reaction of the upper die part and the lower die part.
The upper movable plate 10 and the lower movable plate 21 are freely and vertically moved by the guide of a guide post 14 between the base plate 12 and a top plate 17. A lower stopper 8 and an open spring 23 are incorporated between the lower movable plate 21 and the base plate 12, and the lower movable plate 21 is connected to the upper plate 1 with a lifting rod 16. Also, a bottom dead center stopper 23 and the open spring 9 are incorporated between the upper and lower movable plates 10, 21, and an upper stopper 7 is provided between the upper movable plate 10 and the upper plate 1. A work 15 is fed between the upper die 18 and the lower die 19, and press working is executed accompanying the vertically moving operation of the upper die 18.
