Abstract:

To contrive to prolong the life of products and enhance corrosion resistance by a method wherein powders which are constituted with a soft magnetic metal material, and of which surface is treated with a non-metal substance are scattered with rubber.

An electromagnetic absorber 1 is constituted so that powders 2 composed of a soft magnetic metal material by use of metal powders such as Fe, Ni, Co, etc., which have a magnetism and absorb so much electromagnetic waves of high frequencies are scattered on synthetic rubber 4 such as chloroprene rubber, polybutadiene rubber, polyisoprene rubber, and ethylene propylene rubber or the like. The surface of the powders 2 is treated with a non-metal substance 6, and in this case, the powders 2 are flattened and scattered in a rubber 4 so that the long radial direction is substantially perpendicular to a propagation direction of electromagnetic waves P, and the electromagnetic waves can effectively be absorbed. Thus, it is possible to fairly enhance the life without impairing electromagnetic waves absorption characteristic, and further to enhance corrosion resistance of the electromagnetic waves absorber.
