Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE TRANSMITTING MEMBER AND COMPOSITE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63173403
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To offer an electromagnetic transmitting member with high strength by constituting the member by an amorphous inorganic fiber made substantially of silicon, carbon and oxygen so as to attain a specific resistance.

CONSTITUTION: The electromagnetic transmission member is constituted by inorganic fibers made substantially of Si, C and O and has a specific resistance of 105∼107 Ω.cm. The ratio of each element in the inorganic fiber is 45∼65wt.% Si, 23∼35wt.% C and 5∼30wt.% O. The transmission member transmits a microwave in the range of 500MHz∼3000GHz selectively. The transmission member is used as a composite body where a plastic or a ceramic is used as a matrix and then a high strength is attained.
