To provide an electromotive circular saw with a cut powder recovery mechanism capable of recovering a cut powder inexpensively and efficiently.
The electromotive circular saw 1 has a circular saw body 2 and the cut powder recovery mechanisms 3. The cut powder recovery mechanism 3 is equipped with a seal member 4 comprising paper clay, which is charged in the front end part 25c of the cover part 25b of a saw blade cover 25 and a dust hood 5 for covering the front part of the right-hand surface of the circular saw blade 24 and the seal member 4 has an opening part permitting the edge of the circular saw blade 24. The cut powder involved in the cover part 25b of the saw blade cover 25 is scraped off by the circular saw blade 24. The scattering of the cut powder to the right-hand side of the circular saw blade 24 is inhibited by the dust hood 5. The formed dust is stored in the dust hood 5 by the seal member 4 and the dust hood 5 without being scattered to the circumference. The cut powder recovery mechanism can also be provided to an existing electromotive circular saw by attaching the seal member 4 and the dust hood 5 to the cut powder recovery mechanism 3.
