Title:
ELECTRON EMITTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND VOLTAGE APPLYING DEVICE USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3943860
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a support member (a spacer) with conductivity without short-circuiting an electrode.
SOLUTION: With the electron-emitting device provided with a first substrate 1 with electron-emitting elements arranged, a second substrate 2 having electrode opposite to the first substrate, a support member 3 to keep interval between the first and the second substrate, and accelerating voltage applying means supplying the electrode with voltage for accelerating electron emitted by the electron-emitting elements, the electrode 9 is divided into a plural number, each of which is connected with an accelerating voltage applying means through a resistor. The supporting member 3 has a conductivity and is electrically connected with not more than one of the divided electrodes.
