The imaging device 10 includes a vertical scanning circuit 11, a horizontal scanning circuit 12, the electron source array 20, and a light incidence board 30. The electron source array 20 has a plurality of pixels 21 arranged in a matrix. Each pixel 21 includes a cathode 22 as an electron source, an extraction electrode 23 extracting electrons of the cathode 22, and a transistor 24 driving the cathode 22 and is configured such that: in an ON state of the transistor 24 where the vertical scanning circuit 11 supplies voltage to a gate electrode of the transistor 24, the cathode 22 radiates electrons at a first voltage supplied from the horizontal scanning circuit 12; and the cathode 22 stops radiating the electrons at a second voltage supplied from the horizontal scanning circuit 12.
