Abstract:
To increase the speed of provision of an API that allows the use of an extended application being an application that achieves a function other than a standard function of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises a storage unit and a RAM, and the image forming apparatus comprises: an extended application management unit 200 that executes the management of an extended application being an application that achieves a function other than a standard function of the image forming apparatus itself; and an extended application platform that is a platform of the extended application. The extended application management unit stores a source for an extended application API that is a program for an extended application API being an API that allows the use of the extended application, in an area for dynamic addition that is for the dynamic addition of the source for an extended application API and an area on the storage unit, and the extended application platform loads the extended application API on the RAM by using the source for an extended application API on the area for dynamic addition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
