To provide an electronic apparatus capable of preventing breakage in carrying it without a briefcase, and of providing a user with sufficiently functionable and refined control as compared with a conventional one.
This electronic apparatus is provided with: a housing 110 with a touch panel display 130 housed therein; and a cover 150 covering a front panel of the housing to protect the display, covering a back panel 114 and keeping the housing at a raised position in cooperation with a stylus pen 140. The electronic apparatus is equipped, on the front panel, with a control button for receiving the pen to control the function of the electronic apparatus by motion of the pen and for controlling the function of the electronic apparatus without mounting the pen. The back panel of the housing includes a base unit 160 having a recessed part 162 for receiving a first end 142 of the pen in keeping the housing at the raised position.
