To provide a technique for announcing alterations of display on electronic bin tags to operators at an early stage.

The electronic bin tag system 1 has electronic bin tags 5 and an information distribution device 40 which distributes merchandise information to the electric bin tags 5. The information distribution device 40 distributes the merchandise information, the electronic bin tag 5 displays the merchandise information; then, when the display is altered, the information distribution device 40 transmits the second data which has less amount of data than the first data to the electronic bin tag 5 before transmitting the first data including the merchandise information to the electronic bin tag 5. The electronic bin tag 5 indicates the later alteration of the display directly or indirectly if it receives the second data, and the merchandise information included in the first data is displayed, so that the display is altered if it receives the first data after the second data.
