Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for recognizing that a recording medium is normally installed at the time of installing the recording medium and executing a stable recording operation by permitting the transfer of data with the recording medium when the installation of the recording medium is decided by a recognition means.
SOLUTION: An installation means installing a recording medium, a detection means detecting whether the recording medium is installed in the installation means or not and a recognition means recognizing whether installation is decided when the detection means detects the installation state of the recording medium for more than prescribed time are installed. When the recognition means decides the installation of the recording medium, the transfer of data with the recording medium is permitted. IN the camera, a power source 18 supplies power to a card interface 16. When the interruption terminal INT of a system control circuit 10 receives the installation detection signal of a memory card 17 from the card interface 16, the power source 18 is controlled to start a power supply operation.
