Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera with excellent color reproducibility by executing linear matrix transformation for image data in a stage before executing RGB gain adjustment. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with an image pickup means that uses an imaging device (CCD 12) to output a plurality of primary color signals and with an image processing means that applies image processing to the primary color signal outputted from the imaging device to output a new primary color signal. The image processing means is provided with a liner matrix transformation means 30 that applies correction transformation to the photoelectric conversion characteristic of the imaging device (CCD 12) with respect to the primary color signal and a white balance adjustment means (RGB gain adjustment means 34) to adjust the gain of the primary color signal after the linear matrix transformation. Thus, the electronic camera with excellent color reproducibility can be realized.
