To provide an electronic circuit capable of integrating more electric circuits such as amplifier circuits and arithmetic and logic unit without enlarging a semiconductor chip in which an element such as a semiconductor laser is arranged.
A groove part is formed in the semiconductor chip 1, a reflection mirror 2 is formed on the side face of the groove part, and a semiconductor laser 5 is arranged on the bottom surface of the groove part. A light receiving element 6 is electrically connected through an electric circuit 7 to a wire pad 8. Additionally, a first electrode 3b is formed from a chip surface to the bottom surface of the groove part, and electrically connected to a lower electrode formed on the backside of the semiconductor laser 5. A first electrode 3a is electrically connected through a wire 9 to the upper electrode of the semiconductor laser 5. The first electrodes 3a and 3b and a second electrode 10a which is a connection terminal to the outside are arranged apart from each other, and an electric circuit 7b is disposed in an area therebetween.
