PURPOSE: To make an electronic clinical thermometer easy to read distinguishing data and make management of precise body temperature data possible by providing an output controlling means which reads out appliance distinguishing data written in a ROM at the time of manufacture, while sending out the result together with measured body temperature data by a body temperature measuring means by a radio transmission.
CONSTITUTION: When an electric power source is turned on by a switch 20, a battery 22 supplies electric power to a liquid-crystal display element 28 and a CPU 18 for processing. A sensor 26 detects body temperature and the element 28 displays the body temperature value based on measured and expected body temperature. A part of the element 28 sends out appliance distinguishing data 30 and the expected body temperature data together by a radio transmission. That is, the CPU 18 reads the body temperature information out of the sensor 26 and the CPU 18 carries out expecting computation for body temperature based on the information. The computation is carried out by employing an expecting program 32 stored in a ROM 14 for computation and a temperature measurement parameter 48 previously written in an one time ROM 12 at the time of manufacture. The body temperature value based on the expected body heat data is displayed on the element 28 and together with the appliance distinguishing data 30 written in the ROM 12, the body temperature value is transferred to a reading out apparatus.
