PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce delay in control processing based on a message with a message authentication code attached thereto.SOLUTION: An electronic control device of one aspect of the present disclosure includes a communication unit, an authentication unit, and a control unit. The communication unit communicates with another device. The authentication unit performs an authentication process for a message if the message received by the communication unit is a message authentication object.
