Abstract:
To provide an electronic controller capable of preventing diagnosis history information from being left in a storage part before abnormality occurs when a prescribed diagnosis object becomes abnormal with respect to another diagnosis object for which a failure diagnosis is made on the condition that the prescribed diagnosis object is determined to be normal.SOLUTION: In an electronic controller mounted on a vehicle, second diagnosis processing for making a failure diagnosis of a thermostat makes a failure diagnosis on the condition that a water temperature sensor is determined to be normal in another first diagnosis processing and, when the failure diagnosis is completed, a readiness code (hereafter, a readiness code of diagnosis B) indicating that the failure diagnosis is completed is stored to a memory. Moreover, in the second diagnosis processing, in S380, when it is determined by the first diagnosis processing that the water temperature sensor is abnormal, the readiness code of diagnosis B is cleared.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
