This electronic counter device comprises a CPU 11 for counting the number of operation of an operation key to controlling the whole device, a clock IC 21 for informing the CPU 11 of the time, a memory unit 41, and a proximity switch 7 for detecting that the operation key is operated by a user. The memory unit 41 includes a total count value storage area 42 and a count time information storage area 43. The CPU 11 stores the time when the operation key is operated by the user in the count time information storage area 43 of the memory unit 41 every time when the user operates the operation key based on the time informed from the clock IC 21. The CPU 11 stores the number of operation times of the operation key in the total count value storage area 42 of the memory unit 41.
