Abstract:
To improve operability of character input which has been implemented in a conventional electronic device.SOLUTION: An electronic device includes: a housing; a plurality of physical keys arranged along an edge of the housing; and a controller which executes character input processing based on a braille rule, on the basis of operation on the physical keys. The controller allocates different roles of braille keys corresponding to characters, on the basis of the braille rule, to the respective physical keys. Upon detection of operation on one or multiple physical keys, the controller specifies characters corresponding to the operated one or multiple physical keys, according to the braille rule.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
