Abstract:
To provide an electronic instrument, a key code generation method and a program that can allocate diversifying function to an operation member serving as a user interface.SOLUTION: An electronic instrument according to an embodiment includes a plurality of keys, and, when any key is operated, can be connected to a keyboard outputting a first key code. The electronic instrument comprises: a key operation part that includes keys less in the number of keys than the plurality of keys; and key code generation means that is operable in any of a first mode and second mode, outputs a second key code in the first mode when any key of the key operation part is operated, outputs a third key code in the second mode when any key of the key operation part is operated, and outputs a fourth key code having the third key code converted.
