To provide an electronic device that can prevent unevenness in deposition of a metal oxide layer and has high uniformity in the thickness of the metal oxide layer.SOLUTION: An electronic device has a support, a charge transport layer including a charge transport material or a sensitizing dye electrode layer including a sensitizing dye on the support, and a metal oxide layer on the charge transport layer or the sensitizing dye electrode layer. The metal oxide layer includes a metal oxide having p-type semiconductivity and silica or metal oxide particles, and the content of the silica or the metal oxide particles included in the metal oxide layer is 0.5 mass% or more and 1.5 mass% or less of the metal oxide layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
