Abstract:
To provide a head-mounted device and a system that have a display that displays a content for a user.SOLUTION: In a head-mounted device, a non-removable lens system 70 is supported by head-mounted support structures (26-1, 2) for supporting an electronic device 10 on the head of a user. The head-mounted support structures may be configured to receive a removable lens module 74, and the removable lens module may be used to customize the head-mounted display to accommodate a user's vision. The removable supplemental lens system uses bar codes, text, programmable memory, or another data storage device 84 to store Information such as information on optical characteristics of and a user's eyeglass prescription. When the removable supplemental lens system is installed in the head-mounted device, control circuitry in the head-mounted device retrieves the stored information using a gaze tracker 86 or other sensors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
