PURPOSE: To provide an electronic equipment having shielding function and capable of preventing electrostatic charge and shielding itself from electromagnetic waves in a comprehensive and economical manner by interposing a shielding layer of plastic or cloth having specific conductive fibers or powder incorporated therein between circuit components within the electronic equipment or between the circuit component and a case as well as on the outer periphery of a conductor of a connecting cable for connecting the electronic equipments.

CONSTITUTION: Wired boards 2 disposed within an electronic equipment case 1 are surrounded by a plastic layer 3 having specific conductive fibers or powder incorporated therein, while a plastic layer 3' having the same composition is interposed also between the wiring boards 2. A conductor 5 of a connecting cable 4 for connecting the electronic equipment case 1 with another is covered with two shield layers for preventing leakage of electromagnetic wave noise and static electricity. More particularly, a shield layer 6 provided on the outer peri phery of the conductor consists of non-woven cloth having specific conductive fibers or powder incorporated therein or of fabric having specific conductive fibers blended or union-woven. Further, the outer periphery of the shield layer 8 is covered with a shield layer 7 consisting of a plastic film having special conductive fibers or powder incorporated therein.
