Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the electronic equipment capable of reducing the power consumption by taking precedence of power supply to a synthesizer circuit section over that to the other circuits.
CONSTITUTION: When a control circuit 4 saves a battery 11, a first local oscillator 23 (synthesizer) supplies 1.4V to a 1.4V section 231. Then 1.0V is supplied to a 1.0V section 232 after the lapse of the prescribed time. At this point, a switch 13 provided on the power supply path to a radio frequency amplifier 21 taking 1.0V as the power supply like the 1.0V section 232, mixers 24 and 27, a second local oscillator 26, and a demodulation circuit 3 is opened. The switch 13 is closed after the lapse of the prescribed time from the start of the power supply to the 1.0V section 232, and 1.0V is supplied to each section. The difference in timing of the power supply which is divided into three stages is decided according to the time required for the stable operation of each section, and counted by the timer in the control circuit 4. Thus, the power consumption can be reduced compared with the simultaneous power supply.
