Abstract:
To provide an electronic device capable of preventing programs or data loaded into its memory at a factory or the like from being deleted by error before the device is installed in a market.
The electronic device has a storage means (volatile memory 3), a backup power supply (installed on the main board of a card reader 1 or the like), and a power supply circuit 2 that electrically interconnects the storage means and the backup power supply. The power supply circuit 2 is provided with a bypass circuit 22 that transitions into a non-conducting state when supplied with power from an external power supply.
