Abstract:
To provide an electronic information storage medium, an IC card, a processing method, and a program capable of improving convenience due to reduction in a user's waiting time, as well as, maintaining security.SOLUTION: An ID card C determines whether or not a current transaction meets predetermined conditions on a transaction. When it is determined that the current transaction does not meet the predetermined conditions, the IC card randomly determines whether or not execution of fingerprint authentication is necessary. When it is determined that execution of fingerprint authentication is necessary, the IC card executes fingerprint authentication using fingerprint data acquired by a fingerprint sensor 2. When it is determined that execution of fingerprint authentication is not necessary or when execution of fingerprint authentication is successful, the IC card executes processing related to the transaction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
