Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an electronic mail system in which the transmission of a mail to a recipient and the confirmation of reading of a mail by the recipient are implemented efficiently and the recipient discriminates important mails relating to itself efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: The system is the electronic mail system in which a sender sends a desired mail to a desired recipient to transfer information, and provided with a means storing received mails to a predetermined location when the recipient makes absence registration and sending the stored reception mail to the recipient when the recipient releases the absence registration, and a means which discriminates whether or not the recipient uses the electronic mail system without releasing the absence registration and sending a release command message of absence registration to the recipient when the recipient uses the electronic mail system without releasing the absence registration.
