To execute an electronic money transaction with high reliability regardless of an independent authenticating institution by multiplexing electronic money transaction information to transmit it to a network, collating multiplexed electronic information at a reception side and executing the authentication of electronic money.
A transmission route control part 13 in an electronic money transmitting/receiving device 10 decides the two ways of electronic money transmission routes. When two electronic message transmission routes are decided, the transmission route control part 13 gives information concerning the two routes to an electronic money transaction control part 11. An indication for transmitting electronic money is outputted to a communication control part based on the information and electronic money is transmitted from an electronic money storing part 12 to a receiver. At the reception side, electronic money is received by the communication control part 14 before electronic money information which is transmitted by the two different routes. Then, it is judged whether or not the two electronic money information coincide, electronic money is judged to be a genuine thing at the time of coincidence and it is stored.
