Abstract:
PURPOSE: To assign a manually played sound and an automatic accompaniment sound to respective sound generation channels without generating any musical unnaturalness.
CONSTITUTION: If a new musical sound is inputted by manual performance while all the sound generation channels in a musical sound synthesizing circuit 10 are in sound generation, the generated sound having the minimum envelope among the respective sound generation channels is detected and the inputted musical sound inputted by the performance is assigned to the detected sound generation channel; if there is a new sound generation request by the automatic performance, the generated sound which has its key-OFF state indicated and also has the minimum envelope among the sound generation channels in the sound generation of the automatic performance is detected and the musical sound corresponding to the new sound generation request of the automatic performance is assigned to the detected sound generation channel.
