Abstract:

PURPOSE: To generate a metronome sound normally by the electronic musical instrument which performs musical performance control by a MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) communication without decreasing the number of freely usable MIDI channels.
CONSTITUTION: After MIDI events which are sent to a musical sound synthesizing circuit 9 through respective MIDI channels are stored in a storage means 5 and a MIDI event for metronome sound generation is sent to a musical sound synthesizing circuit 9 to generate the metronome sound, MIDI events having the same channel numbers with the MIDI events sent before the MIDI event for metronome sound generation are sent are read out of the storage means 5 and sent to the musical sound synthesizing circuit 9.
