Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts and to solve operational trouble by using a push button switch for KANJI (Chinese character) to input handwritten characters as also an operating means at the time of KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI conversion. CONSTITUTION:The title device has push button switches 1-5 as operating means different for character types and when the push button switch of the character type equivalent to that of a character handwritten on a touch panel 6 is pushed, the recognized character is displayed on and inputted to a liquid crystal dot matrix panel 8. Here, when a KANA sentence or a KATAKANA (square form of KANA) sentence is inputted by the operating means and after that, successively, a push button switch 1 for KANJI out of the operating means is pushed, the KANA sentence or the KATAKANA sentence is converted into a KANJI-mixed sentence by a KANA/KANJI converting routine and a converting table. Thus, the number of push button switches is decreased and the operational trouble is eliminated.
