PURPOSE: To align a type wheel which is offset to a normal position so that print quality is improved and at the same time, prevent a slide part from becoming fouled by positioning and holding each type wheel using a regulatory means installed between the peripheral part of each type wheel and a slide when data is printed by using the type wheel.

CONSTITUTION: The electronic numbering device is composed of an input means 4 for setting and entering data to be printed, a display device 5 for indicating data which is entered from the input means 4, control means 39 for changing a set value by a specified amount based on the entered data, and printing means 44 for printing a value set by the control means 39 on a given object using type wheels 10. In addition, regulatory means 55, 56 for positioning and holding each type wheel 10 between the peripheral part of the type wheels 10 and a slide which retains a main system 1, when the object is printed using the type wheel 10. Consequently, it is possible to maintain the print quality in a satisfactory state by aligning the offset type wheel to a normal position.
