Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an electronic odometer by which a travel distance can be integrated efficiently even if a serial nonvolatile memory is used in a data storage means.
CONSTITUTION: A memory 2 has a main memory part and a sub memory part, and stores integrated travel distance data. At this time, a microcomputer 1 writes '1' in respective bits of respective addresses in the main memory part of the memory 2 in order from a subordinate address every time a vehicle travels a unit travel distance, and writes incrementally a numeric value in the sub memory part every time data writing is completed to the whole main memory part. When the microcomputer 1 transfers to a superordinate address in the main memory part and writes in '1', it clears the whole bits of an address more subordinate by two than the address.
