PURPOSE: To arrange so that frame storage function may be obtained by an extremely small storage region by creating and storing compression-type frame is storage data consisting of frame printing code and printing frequency.

CONSTITUTION: Prearranged printing characters which are frame printing elements for printing each line segment of a frame in accordance with frame storage instruction are input by a key input means (a). Then the continuous input frequency of printing characters is counted by a frequency counting means (b). At the same time, codes of the printing characters are stored into a printing character storage means (c) and frame storage data which is compressed data is created by a control means (e) using the count value of the frequency counting means (b) and the code of the printing character storage means (c) according to the end of printing one line segment of the frame. After this process, said data is stored into a frame storage data means (d), and the frame storage data stored in the frame storage data means (d) is read according to an instruction for frame regeneration printing and output to a printing menas (f). Finally the frame is regenerated and printed in a storage medium.
