PURPOSE: To enable a response to be made upon various needs under a proper combination of a heating chamber and a power supply part by a method wherein the heating chamber for heating foodstuff and the power supply part for supplying microwave to the heating chamber are separated, and each of them is made to a unit block.
CONSTITUTION: A main body 1 and a power supply part 5 are under a separated condition to each other when they are delivered from a factory. This main body 1 and the power supply part 5 may not turn ON safety switches 52 and 90 and a starting switch. The safety switch 52 is arranged near an engaging part 51, and the safety switch 52 having a coil spring 59 to be opened or closed is turned on or off by a latch piece 41 when the power supply part 5 is installed in the main body 1. The base plate 53 forms the engaging parts 50 and 51, the safety switch is installed in the base plate 53 of the engaging part, pushed by the latch piece 41 when the door 3 is closed and then the contact point is turned ON. With this arrangement, it is possible to respond upon the various needs under a combination of both means.
