To recognize held fund information in spite of a damage, etc., in a card, etc., by assigning unique identifiers for identification to respective groups and moving fund information together with the identifier of a group corresponding to it to a reception side holding means at the time of settlement.
IC 210 buried in an IC card 200 divides fund information into more than one group and assigns the unique identifiers for identification so as to hold the respective groups. When a user inserts the IC card 200 into the port of an automatic teller machine 100, the card reader 102 of the automatic teller machine reads card data with an input/output terminal 219. When card data is right, a password, a payment demand money amount and a unit for executing division into the groups are set in accordance with guidance. The unique identifiers are generated through the user of an identifier generator 153 as against the respective groups, a table inside a center device 150 is updated and data of the IC card 200 is updated.
