Title:
ELECTRONIC STILL CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62227281
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain an appropriate photographing corresponding to the luminance of an object, by driving and controlling the readout driving of a solid-state image pickup element by switching it to a frame driving and a field driving, corresponding to the luminance of the object obtained by a photometric means. CONSTITUTION:The readout driving of a charge coupled device 26 is selected by a CCD driving selection signal 29 outputted from a control circuit 20 to a synchronizing signal generation circuit 18 on the basis of the luminous quantities of a photometric element 16, and a driving pulse is sent out through a control line 30, and a video signal based on an electric charge accumulated on an image pickup plane 28 is inputted to a recording signal processing circuit 34 as a series signal. The signal frequency- modulates the video signal by a ruster scan by reacting to driving signals including a vertical and a horizontal synchronizing signals from the synchronizing signal generation circuit 18, a phase pulse PG, and furthermore, a recording indicating signal from the control circuit 20, and outputs it as a modulation video signal of prescribed format. Since one photodiode corresponds to one picture element in the frame driving, the vertical resolution of an object image becomes maximum. Thus, since signal charges at the photoreceiving parts of plural lines are read out simultaneously in the field driving, photoreceiving sensitivity in the field driving can be improved compared with in the frame driving.
