PURPOSE: To attain to reduce the number of parts and to scale down an installation place and to equalize the error of an advance phase and a delay phase to enable the measurement of reactive electric energy with high accuracy, by letting one electric energy meter have both functions for the advance phase and the delay phase.
CONSTITUTION: After a signal ev proportional to load voltage of a feeder is shifted in a phase by π/α in a phase shift circuit 22 to obtain a signal e'v, it is converted to a pulse width duty cycle signal by a pulse width modulation circuit 23 while the advance and the delay of a phase are decided from a signal ei, -ei proportional to the load voltage and the consumption current of the current supply wire by an advance and delay discriminator 28 and the aforementioned pulse width duty cycle signal is put in a time sharing multiply circuit 27 on the basis of the discrimination result directly or reversely by a reverse circuit 24 to perform time sharing multiplication of positive and negative signals ei, -ei proportional to the consumption current while changing intake order. By this mechanism, the reactive electric energies for an advance phase and a delay phase can be measured by substantially one functional parts. In addition, because the advance phase and the delay phase are used in common by using a same current transformer for a measuring instrument, error of the measuring instrument becomes equal and preciseness becomes high.
