Abstract:
PURPOSE:To move a cursor for a long extent by displaying the line head or tail of data, which is stored in an internal buffer, on a display part and providing a means which moves the cursor to the line head or tail of said data. CONSTITUTION:Various key groups and a code key CODE, which extends a function when it is depressed simultaneously with the depression of one of these various keys, are provided on a keyboard part K of an electronic typewriter. When this code key CODE and a left cursor key of a cursor key Cu are depressed simultaneously, the cursor is moved from the current position to the line head by one operation, and line head data read out from the internal buffer is displayed on a display part D. When the key CODE and a right cursor key of the cursor key Cu are depressed simultaneously, the cursor is moved to the line tail, and line tail data read out from the internal buffer is displayed on the display part D.
