Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle a failure by securing the originality of a vote and complementing the brittleness of a recording medium.
SOLUTION: An electronic voting system has a recognizing means for recognizing an input mode for candidate selection, candidate selection confirmation and candidate selection cancellation, and recognizing information input from the mode, a temporary storing means for storing the result of candidate selection recognized by the means, as a vote result, a first erasing means for erasing the vote result stored in the temporary storing means upon candidate selection cancellation recognized, a recording means for recording the vote result stored in the temporary storing means on a first recording medium upon selection confirmation recognized, an auditing means for auditing the record, a second erasing means for erasing the vote result stored in the temporary storing means successively, a means for recording the vote result recorded on the first recording medium on a second recording medium, and a means for auditing the record onto the recording medium.
