Abstract:
To provide an electronic device that can be miniaturized, and includes a rotation operation member conducting stable rotation detection without being affected by an influence such as assembling errors, external force and the like.SOLUTION: An electronic device has: signal generation means 241 that generates a first signal and second signal having a cycle as twice as a pitch of a click mechanism 230f with a prescribed amount of deviation equal to or less than the pitch of the click mechanism 230f; and signal processing means 241 that generates, from the first signal and second signal, a rotation signal having a rising edge and a falling edge at a cycle equal to a rotation pitch, and a rotation direction signal indicative of a rotation direction of a rotation operation member. Upon detecting a rotation state of the rotation operation member 200 on the basis of the rotation signal and the rotation direction signal, the electronic device is configured to execute rotation processing at a timing of any one of the rising edge and falling edge of the rotation signal in accordance with an output of the rotation direction signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
