To provide an image forming method that prevents contamination of a member even when a toner having good low-temperature fixability is repeatedly used for a long period.SOLUTION: An image forming method comprises: an electrifying step of electrifying an electrophotographic photoreceptor 1; an exposure step of exposing the electrified electrophotographic photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image; a developing step of developing the electrostatic latent image on the electrophotographic photoreceptor by using toner to form a toner image; a transfer step of transferring the toner image to a transfer material 7; and a removal step of removing a toner remaining on the electrophotographic photoreceptor after the transfer. The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a photosensitive layer and a protective layer in this order on a support. The protective layer includes a resin having a structure with one cross-linked part and a structure with two cross-linked parts. The toner contains a binder resin and a crystalline material. The ester group concentration in the crystalline material defined by a specific formula is 1.50 or more and 10.00 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
