Abstract:
PURPOSE: To keep a sufficient film strength while improving the lubricity and wear resistance, to improve the solvent crack property and to facilitate the production by incorporating a specific polymer on the surface layer of a photoreceptor.
CONSTITUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having the photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body, a polymer having a structural unit expressed by the formula is incorporated in the surface layer of the photoreceptor. In the formula, each of R1-R8 represents hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a 1-4C alkoxyl group or alkenyl group, each of R9-R14 is a (substituted) 1-3C alkyl group or an aryl group and (m) represents an integer of 1-200. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has particularly excellent solvent crack resistance surface lubricity and preservation stability and the reason is that the intrusion speed of a chemical causing the solvent crack is decreased by introducing the structural unit expressed by the formula into the polymer to lower the free energy of the surface.
