Abstract:
To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor and an image formation apparatus which can obtain a high quality output image over a long period by suppressing the uneven wear of a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic photoreceptor which includes a photosensitive layer and a protective layer on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical substrate in this order and has a gear with which the rotary driving force is input to only one end in the axial direction of the cylindrical substrate, when the protective layer is divided into two regions by a plane orthogonal to the axial direction of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an average value Ra1 of arithmetic mean roughness in JIS B0601-2001 of the outer peripheral surface of a region on the farther side from the gear is larger than an average value Ra2 of arithmetic mean roughness in JIS B0601-2001 of the outer peripheral surface of a region on the closer side to the gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
