To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor more suitable for practical use containing a naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid diimide derivative of a new structure that excels in solubility to an organic solvent and compatibility with a macromolecule binder resin, and achieves an excellent electron transport capability.
An electrophotographic photoreceptor contains a naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid diimide derivative of the chemical formula 1 containing an alkyl group substituted for an aryl group and branched in the α position with nitrogen of an imide group as a standard, and an electrophotographic image forming device adopts the photoreceptor. In the chemical formula 1, R1 and R2 independently represent hydrogen, a halogen group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with carbon number 1-20 or a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with carbon number 1-20, R3 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with carbon number 1-20, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with carbon number 1-20, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group with carbon number 7-30, or a group represented by a chemical formula -(CH2)n-Y-R4, and Ar represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group with carbon number 6-30.
